David was consistently more alert today. His eyes seemed open wider and for longer periods of time. He is still running a slight fever, 99.5'ish, but they haven't given him anything for it and it does not seem to be getting any worse. The coolest thing was that he was taken off the ventilator at noon today (they now give him a little extra oxygen in his air but he breathes totally on his own) and has been doing great. They plan to leave him off all night as long as he does good. This seems like excellent news to us.

That is awesome news!! The Kolb family and friends will continue to pray for David recovery and for the entire Huddleston family until David is home safely.

Patty & Steve, I too, was devasted for you when I heard about David's accident. I have been praying for you and David,and now I am very encouraged to read the news about David's progress. Every morning as I sit down in front of the computer to do my makeup as I read my daily emails and log on to this blog, I find it useless to apply mascara untill AFTER I have read of David's progress. Inevitably, tears roll dowm my cheeks as I see what the Lord is doing in The Huddleston family, through David. Hang in there guys. We are praying for you and our prayers are being answered.
